To apply for a student visa, you will need to complete the application form (PDF, 267.14 KB)
Further you will need to submit:
a) Studying at a public establishment
- A valid travel document (passport), valid for at least 12 months. This document must also contain at least 2 blank pages and have been issued less than 10 years ago.
- The original letter of acceptance from the university in Belgium
- One picture
- The medical form

But you can also choose any other doctor. In that case this doctor has to certify his signature in a statement.
- If over 21, a recently issued certificate of good conduct with an official translation to Dutch, French, German or English.
- If applicable, a scholarship certificate.
- If you do not have a scholarship or if the scholarship is less than 604 Euro net/month, a proof of additional financial means is necessary: pledge of financial support signed by a guarantor.

- The person who is your financial guarantor has to sign this declaration in the Embassy and has to bring his ID and his salary slips of the last three months, as well as other documents related to his family (if applicable).
- 180 Euro as handling fee for the visa and 15 Euro for the legalization of the medical certificate.
In case you have a financial guarantor, you have to pay another 15 Euro for the legalization of the document.

b) Studying at a private establishment
